The problem we were facing was that the Intro Screen for the End-User-Flow didn't support Veriff's vision of trust and security and was a high drop-off area. I needed to re-design the screen to reduce drop-off and give users a better experience.
I carried out competitive analysis and user research interviews, ideation sessions, leasing with freelancers, prototyping, testing and launching the new designs. I took this problem and provided an end-to-end process to reduce drop-off and in turn, increase conversion.
Project Overview
Veriff
Aug - Sept 2023
I initiated the project by conducting competitive and user research to thoroughly understand the problem.
Based on the insights from the research, I developed the first iteration of new designs, which were then tested with users. This testing process revealed additional pain points, leading to a redesign phase where I collaborated with a freelance illustrator. After refining the designs, I conducted another round of user testing, which confirmed that the solution provided a strong user experience.
The final design was implemented into production and is now an integral part of the end-user flow.
Process
A / B / C Varients from testing

As seen in the flow below, the solution was a re-design of the first screen in the end-user-flow, to align better with the look and feel of the brand, and to highlight security and trust through both illustration and copy.
Solution
Three months after the implementation of this design, the company witnessed a 16% decrease in drop-off rate. This design is used in all the end-user-flows, by all of Veriff's customers.
